June Blog
What's happening in Minnetonka and beyond.
There’s a lot going on this June.
Get Involved!
Every even numbered year, we hear “This will be the most important election of our time.” and each time it is true. There is so much at stake that we can’t afford to sit idly by and hope for the best. So what can you do? You can volunteer with candidates directly (go to their website and look for volunteer sign-ups) or with organizations that support candidates. Contact me if you need ideas or information on where to start.
What I’m working on
I do a lot of work with different progressive organizations some of which is not directly related to my work as a city council member this is where I will share some of that work
MN Legislative Action Team
I need to check-in with the rest of the team and try to get a legislative session update to you
INDIVISIBLE West Metro
I’m on the board for IWM and we are currently focusing on local and state races in SD42, SD45, and SD37.
CAP-HC Board
State (& County) Level priorities
I have been working with several groups and coalitions - ISAIAH/Faith in Minnesota, Indivisible, We Go High, We Choose Us, etc. - on issues at the MN Legislature and Hennepin County - My primary focus has been/is on Climate/Environment and housing. County work will continue as will planning for the next legislative session.
We will be pivoting to focus on November elections.
