Hello!
My apologies in advance. I’ve had some unexpected family matters come up and am travelling and unable to create a full blog for July. I will just mention a few things.
There’s a lot of uncertainty around what will happen with the upcoming presidential elections. Not being a prophet or a “seer”, I cannot say what the final outcome will be but I do know that doing nothing is really not an option. The best thing we can do, in my opinion, is get involved in supporting candidates at a local and state level, have conversations about the importance of voting, and, of course, ourselves vote. See “Get Involved!” post from last month directly below.
Get Involved!
Every even numbered year, we hear “This will be the most important election of our time.” and each time it is true. There is so much at stake that we can’t afford to sit idly by and hope for the best. So what can you do? You can volunteer with candidates directly (go to their website and look for volunteer sign-ups) or with organizations that support candidates. Contact me if you need ideas or information on where to start.

I am unable to create a full calendar for you this month, but I did want to highlight one thing.
For the past few years, I’ve been telling a Hopkins Councilmember that Minnetonka and Hopkins should do a joint pride festival. So I was very excited to learn that there will be one this month (through no effort of my own)!
The City of Minnetonka, along with the City of Hopkins and the YMCA will host the city's first Pride Celebration on July 13. From 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. guests will be invited to Ridgedale Commons for an afternoon of fun.
Go share your pride and support Minnetonka’s First Pride Celebration!
